Material Control Supervisor

What You'll Do…

• Operational Oversight: Supervise inbound, outbound, and claims processing, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.


• Team Leadership & Training: Directly supervise and mentor GSR 6 crew members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


• Workforce Management: Schedule workforce, manage overtime and vacation requests, and ensure proper crew coverage.


• Labor & Compliance: Maintain positive UAW relationships, resolve grievances, and ensure compliance with Ford-UAW contracts and ISO 14001 environmental standards.


• Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on efficiency, inventory accuracy, error reduction, and customer satisfaction.


• Facility & Safety: Uphold building organization, cleanliness, and safety standards while driving adherence to company processes.

You'll have... 

• Highschool Diploma


• Ability to walk and navigate a large facility (600,000 sq. ft.) for extended periods as required to oversee operations.


• Must have ability and experience to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet and/or exceed dealer shipping deadlines


• Knowledge or ability to learn current systems (SAP/EWM)


• Proven dependability record and successful team-oriented experience.


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently


• Goal oriented individual


• Continuous Improvement mindset


• Excellent organizational skills and ability to demand accountability from all employees
  
   
  Even better, you may have…


• Bachelor’s Degree 


• 2-3 years operational experience within a High Velocity Center Or High Cube Center.


• Previous UAW/HVC supervisory experience.
