About the Material Coordinator Role
As a Material Coordinator, the main duties include moving material in/out and around the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, coordinating tools, warehouse, and fabricated items for storage and/or delivery and inventory and warehouse bin accuracy.
Job Responsibilities
• Using warehouse equipment to load/unload trucks and warehouse racking
• Coordinate tools, packages and fabrication for internal storage and deliveries
• Ensuring material handling equipment is inspected, maintained and safe to use
• Material Coordinators should report all issues especially accidents to their direct supervisor and the fleet manager immediately especially if it involves injury or property damage
• Using implemented technology (tools and software) that improves efficiencies and communication
• Organizing parts, supplies, tools, and other miscellaneous items that are stored in the warehouse
• Collaborating with the Tool Room, Logistics, Purchasing and other supporting departments
• Constant communication with Service Coordination, Tool Repair, Tool Room and the Receiving Dock, which will require the use of email, to understand priorities
• Organize the warehouse area and backyard and ensure returns and waste is properly removed
• Work independently with minimal supervision and a team-player
• Must wear appropriate work Hi-Vis attire and PPE when loading, unloading trucks and on Service sites
o PPE – Hi-Vis clothing, hardhat, safety glasses, cut 4-level gloves, safety vest and work boots
• Assisting in the warehouse which includes processing clean outs and picking tools
• Ability to lift 75lbs, kneel, bend and stoop
Education & Experience
• Minimum 1-2 years warehouse, forklift, or material coordination experience
• High school Diploma
Required Skills
• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
• Class D Driver’s License
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to manage shifting priorities
• Knowledge of Boston and surrounding area
• Strong teamwork skills- ready and willing to work closely with team members
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills
