Slip Robotics is a B2B Robotics-as-a-Service company deploying autonomous loading and unloading robots — SlipBots and SlipLifts — at warehouse and fulfillment sites across North America. Our customers are some of the largest shippers and 3PLs in the industry, and we're scaling fast. We build the robots, we deploy them, and we keep them running.
We are hiring a Material Flow Supervisor to own how parts move inside our four walls — from the moment a truck backs into receiving to the moment a finished robot ships. Our assembly line only builds as fast as it is fed, and today feeding it depends too much on people knowing where things are. You will replace that with a system: defined storage locations, kits staged ahead of the build, line-side replenishment that triggers before a station runs dry, and inventory records the business can actually trust.
This is a working supervisor role on the floor. You will lead a small team of material handlers and run the flow yourself when volume demands it. Supply Chain owns what we buy and when suppliers deliver it; you own everything that happens to a part after it hits our dock.
Responsibilities:
Keep the Line Fed
Own line-side material availability — no build stops for a part that is sitting in the building
Run warehouse operations and provide recommendations/feedback on material flow storage and delivery solutions
Establish min/max levels, replenishment triggers, and point-of-use storage for high-runner parts
Set the daily material cadence — pick schedules, delivery routes to stations, and handoffs across shifts
Escalate shortages to Production and Supply Chain with the part, the quantity, and the build it will stop
Own Inventory Accuracy
Own inventory accuracy for raw material, WIP, and finished goods, with a cycle count program and a stated accuracy target
Keep ERP transactions clean and timely — receipts, put-away, issues to work orders, moves, and finished goods completions
Investigate and resolve variances to root cause rather than adjusting them away
Own the physical stockroom: defined and labeled locations, controlled access, and a layout that matches how the line consumes parts
Manage excess, obsolete, and non-conforming material segregation with Quality and Supply Chain
Run Receiving, Shipping and Finished Goods
Own receiving and put-away: verify against the PO, route material to incoming inspection when required, and put it away same day
Coordinate outbound shipments of finished robots and service parts, including carrier scheduling, load planning, and documentation
Own dock scheduling and yard coordination so inbound and outbound traffic does not collide
Maintain accurate shipping records and support customs and cross-border paperwork with Logistics
Requirements
3+ years in material handling, warehouse, stockroom, or production materials, including 1+ years leading or supervising a team
Hands-on experience with kitting, line-side replenishment, and staging to a production schedule
Demonstrated ownership of inventory accuracy and a cycle count program
Working knowledge of an ERP or WMS for receiving, issuing, and inventory transactions (NetSuite or similar)
Comfortable reading bills of material, pick lists, and packing slips, and matching parts to drawings
Forklift certified or able to certify, with a clean record operating powered industrial trucks
Safety-first mindset and a track record of enforcing it without being asked
Organized and direct — you surface a shortage the moment you see it rather than hoping it resolves
Physical capability to work on a production floor: lifting up to 50 lbs, extended standing and walking, and occasional after-hours coverage during ramps
Startup or fast-paced environment experience; you are comfortable building the process while running it
