Material Handler

Job Description:

This position is responsible for performing and completing multiple functions including receiving, cycle counting, and miscellaneous operations functions. The role will maintain safety, quality, customer, housekeeping and productivity specifications.   

Responsibilities:

• Process daily receiving of deliveries against Purchase Orders 
• Identify damage of incoming materials 
• Verify quantity and descriptions of material received to packing lists
• Label and put away inventory in orderly manner
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting processes
• Research and report inventory discrepancies 
• Move products throughout the woodshop as needed 
• Empty scrap hoppers 
• Meets deadlines with attention to detail while following quality requirements
• Maintains a clean work environment and follows housekeeping requirements
• Follows company safety policies and procedures 
• Works independently and as a team
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintains a professional manner
• Follow directions provided by Leads, Supervisors, and Management

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred 
• Experience driving a forklift
• Efficient time management skills
• Overtime required depending on workload
• Attention to detail 
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually
• Ability to make repetitive movements, including but not limited to bending and squatting
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
