Material Handler

Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing inventory for medical device manufacturing projects including kitting components for work orders, working within NetSuite to issue components, and maintaining inventory accuracy physically and systematically. May also assist with receiving, shipping, and managing supplies.

Essential Functions

• Kit inventoried components for manufacturing builds and transact them in the ERP.
• Transfer accepted materials from inspection to the appropriate storage location and transact in ERP.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in NetSuite
• Document lot numbers on paperwork following GDP.
• Work with shipping/receiving department to move general stock inventory from receiving into general inventory. 
• Help with production packing, kitting, and shipping. 
• Perform inventory cycle counts when needed 
• Communicate progress and report problems to Supervisor and Lead(s).  
• Perform routine assignments according to specified and/or standardized procedures.  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. 
• Support company finance, accounting, human resources, quality, regulatory, and clinical departments as necessary to ensure compliance with requirements. 

Requirements

Education, Experience, Required Skills

• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred
• 1+ year(s) working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and/or warehouse setting preferred.
• Prior experience in a medical device company preferred.
• Able to weigh count parts using a scale 
• Ability to work accurately.
• Hand dexterity, including ability to work with very small pieces (some under microscope and some not) – requires patience and diligence.
• Ability to handle and be trusted with confidential and/or sensitive information.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Ability to be flexible and to handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner.
• Able to problem-solve, work under pressure, and to effectively manage stress.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, and walking.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to use of a pallet jack.
• Ability to climb a ladder. 
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
• Must wear personal protective gear if applicable.

Compensation

• The typical base pay range for this role is between $18.00-23.00/hour. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
• 401(k) Plan: Company-provided Safe Harbor Contribution of 3% of eligible earnings.
