Material Handler

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, establishes and maintains Materials operations, all the tasks involved with smooth daily operations of the warehouse.

Responsibilities: 

• Use scanning technology and POD technology to handle materials of the warehouse
• Makes deliveries to customer service locations – sales or otherwise
• Receive UPS and FedEx and transfers (locations and freight entry)
• Experience or willingness to learn WorldShip 
• Perform physical counts accurately
• Operate machinery such as fork-lifts and portable lifts
• Pulls orders (Sales/ Service Orders/ Jobs) accurately and stages them for shipment
• Performs other duties as needed 

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to left 75 pounds often
• Must be able to see in full color
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
• Personal computer skills: Microsoft Office products (especially Excel & Word), as well as inventory control software 
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills 
• Excellent math calculation skills
• Bend, stoop, climb, stand, stretch, reach and lift arms above shoulder height repeatedly or continually over time
• Must be flexible as far as hours per week to work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years warehouse experience 
• Ability to obtain a Medical Card
• Team skills: a team player with the willingness to help others within the department, as well as within the company
• Good attendance history
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, ability to multi-task
• Independence skills: a self-starter with the ability to work efficiently on their own
