Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Burn Table Operator/Material Handler to support an industrial fabrication operation in Sand Springs. This Material Handler role is responsible for safely moving, staging, and identifying industrial materials throughout the facility. The Material Handler position requires experience with burn/plasma tables, material handling equipment, and working in indoor and outdoor shop environments.

Required Qualifications

• Prior burn/plasma table experience
• Experience in an industrial fabrication, pipe shop, or steel shop
• Ability to identify valves, flanges, piping, structural & plate steel
• Forklift experience (certification preferred)
• Overhead crane experience or willingness to be trained
• Ability to read tags, part numbers, and shop documentation
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Key Responsibilities

The Material Handler role includes the following duties:

• Move, stage, and organize materials throughout the shop and yard
• Identify industrial components including valves, flanges, piping, and steel
• Transport materials to fabrication, welding, and assembly areas
• Load and unload trucks and trailers
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely
• Assist with inventory organization and material tracking
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety policies
• Perform inside and outside work in varying weather

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on feet for extended periods
• Comfortable in indoor and outdoor industrial environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a pipe fabrication or industrial manufacturing facility
• Familiarity with rigging practices and load balancing
• Understanding of shop flow and material staging
