Material Handler

Key Responsibilities:

· Strictly adheres to Company and plant safety policies and procedures.

· Completes all annual training as required.

· Keeps assigned work areas in the warehouse and production organized and clean.

· Properly cleans and maintains all dryers as needed.

· Utilizes handheld devices to keep inventory accurate.

· Using a forklift, move stock, orders or material for other departments as needed.

· Using a forklift, loads outbound shipments and unloads inbound shipments.

· Using a forklift, stages material for the production lines.

· Transfers material to required locations in company system.

· Accurately checks, receives and prepares product for shipment as needed.

· Responsible for the accurate issuing of raw material to production on time.

· Identifies resins, supplies, components, generates labels and ensures proper storage in the warehouse.

· Conducts daily cycle counts for finished goods, raw material and supplies when needed.

· Assists with weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual inventory counts.

· Prepare shipments by building crates, wrapping, labelling, strapping etc.

· Monitor extrusion scrap and make sure scrap is reported on production paperwork.

· Monitors re-grind. Keep re-grind organized and labeled.

· Maintains forklift certification.

· Fills gaps in any area of production when required.

Physical Demands:

· Moving and lifting objects up to 60 lbs

· Walking, standing on concrete 8+ hrs/day

· Sitting/working at a workstation/forklift

· Ladder and Staircase naviation related to cleaning dryers

· Work Environment:

· Works in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Climate may be cold or hot

· depending on outside temperature.

· Exposed to dust, odors, fumes and noise associated with the extrusion and fabrication

· manufacturing processes.
