Material Handler

Basic Job Functions:

• Locate, pull, and bring orders using a sit-down forklift


• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies


• Transport raw materials to production workstations


• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs; keep track of inventory


• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines


• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities


• Must be able to support any other department with material handling needs.


• Other duties as assigned

• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a sit-down forklift operator


• Valid certification to operate forklifts required; we will also certify through company


• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.


• Must be able to work any shift as required, overtime, weekends and holidays; must be able to work a modifiable schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working for a manufacturing company


• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment


• Basic math skills to keep track of inventory
