About the Role:


 


As a Material Handler I, you will play a critical role in supporting efficient material flow throughout the facility by safely transporting, staging, and tracking materials needed for production and shipping operations. This position is responsible for operating forklifts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are available where and when needed to support workflow. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting a high-performing manufacturing team.


 


Material Handlers work closely with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient operations, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery to our customers. The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor (or appropriate department leader) and is an on-site position. 


 


What You'll Do:




  • Safely operate forklifts to transport, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the facility. 




  • Support production by delivering materials to the right place at the right time to maintain workflow efficiency. 




  • Perform accurate ERP transactions and inventory updates to maintain system integrity and inventory accuracy. 




  • Conduct cycle counts, material verification, and discrepancy identification activities. 




  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions. 




  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to support operational goals and customer commitments. 




  • Contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.

Job Requirements:


Required:




  • High school diploma or equivalent.




  • Material handling experience. 




  • Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate forklifts. 




  • Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, work instructions, and operational documents.




Preferred:




  • Manufacturing experience. 




  • Basic computer literacy and experience working within inventory or ERP systems. 




Physical & Work Environment Requirements:




  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.




  • Frequent forklift operation and climbing in and out of equipment.




  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing environments with moderate to high noise levels.
