The Material Handler/Forklift Operator is a key team member that will be responsible for utilizing their skills and training to accomplish the assigned tasks in a timely manner while meeting the standards set forth in safety, quality, and productivity.
What you'll do:
Follows and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures
Follows all OSHA safety regulations, as well as company quality and productivity standards
Support production materials requirement needs
Organize and maintain proper storage of materials
Receive, ship and store both large and small parts
Experience in forklift operations is a plus
Knowledge of production assembly
Inspect and determine parts condition
Distribute goods to all areas of production
Assist in physical inventories
Perform Pre-Inspections of parts when required
Use and read both standard and metric measuring devices
Understanding of various automobile parts a plus
Maintain good housekeeping practices in work area
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Assist with trouble shooting issues as needed
Works well with hands, hand tools, and small power tools
What you’ll need:
Experience operating a forklift.
Strong attention to detail, organization and locigal thinking.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
