Job Description - Material Handler and Company Driver

Summary
This role is responsible for all intercompany movements and transfers relating to the utilization of non-CDL box trucksWhen not transporting or shuttling materials between work sites or to vendor locations the individual will assist with normal warehouse duties and operations of a Material Handler to ensure the smooth production of goods. 


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
 
 



  • Operate company box truck to transport freight safely and efficiently between company facilities 



  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety and DOT regulations 



  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safe operation 



  • Accurately complete delivery logs, manifests, and related documentation 



  • Support warehouse operations when not driving, including: 



  • Move and track packaging components and finished goods to/from production lines 



  • Pull packaging materials per production schedule and pick lists 



  • Record move tickets and inventory transactions in the Global Shop system 



  • Prepare obsolete materials for disposal per hazardous material guidelines 



  • Store packaging materials per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) 



  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand scanners, and related equipment responsibly 



  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas 



  • Performs other duties as assigned by management. 


 


Education and/or Experience      



  • HS Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
    .
     



  • Valid driver’s license . 



  • 6+ months of warehouse experience preferred.  



  • Prior experience operating a forklift within a warehouse environment preferred  



  • Prior experience utilizing a warehouse management system/ERP system preferred.  



  • Must complete certified OSHA forklift training and DOT 49CFR Shipper Course for transportation of Hazardous materials as provided by Company after hire.  



  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO standards preferred.

  • Strong team player.  



  • Comfort working within a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals and industrial machinery. 



  • Excellent time management skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing work under pressure.  



  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness on a consistent basis. 



  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
