Hiring Material Handler, someone who is comfortable following standard operating procedures, eager to learn and grow.
Job Details:
Description:
To receive, verify, locate, scrap, store, and transport material used in the manufacturing process.
•Execute picks for internal delivery to production cells.
•Pack, load and unload a variety of conveyances.
•Conduct audits for Inventory, 5S and Safety.
•Move material within the warehouse and manufacturing plant.
•Ensures that product meets nVent’s quality specifications
•Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs
•Notifies Supervisor or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
•Operate power industrial equipment (ex. stand-up, sit-down and order picker forklift trucks) if needed
•Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, earplugs, hard hats, gloves and steel toe shoes.
•Must follow all established company SAFETY processes.
•Deal with complexity in a fast pace manufacturing environment.
•May be required to perform additional duties as assigned
Skills:
Inventory, Data entry, material handling, packing, Supply chain, Inventory management, Shipping and receiving, cycle counts, inventory control, forklift
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
•Experience material handling or relatable warehouse duties - must have
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment - must have
•Knowledge of safety policies and procedures and ability to promote compliance with them
•Experience with shipping, receiving and kitting - highly preferred
•Ability to work with a large volume of tiny parts
•Ability to use a computer and operate ERP system
•Must be able to stand for 8 hours
•Good communications skills and attention to detail are required for this position
•Ability to work independently and with a team
