Material Handler I (2nd Shift)

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler 1-2nd Shift at our El Paso, TX location! The hourly rate for this position is $16.76 per hour. The core hours are 4:00pm to 12:45am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Material Handler will provide shipping and warehousing expertise to support in all areas of the Switchboard Team including, but not limited to, assembly, order picking, and shipping and receiving parts, with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton\u2019s quality standards.\n\n * Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position.\n * Ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton\u2019s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process. Perform quality checks as instructed.\n * Receive and process material kitting orders promptly to execute production schedules\n * Complete inventory transactions and ensure accuracy\n * Comply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment\n * Receive and process incoming raw materials and ensure the inventory process is followed correctly\n * Prepare finished products for final shipment including packaging, documentation, and loading, and ensure on-time delivery\n * Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), order pickers, automatic pallet wrappers and pallet jack\n * Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic (Required) Qualifications:\n\n * Minimum of one year of forklift operation experience (sit-down/standup). \n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Two or more years of warehouse experience in an industrial environment.\n * Two years or more of forklift operation experience (sit-down/standup).\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Success Criteria:\n\n * Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills.
