Material Handler - Production

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Material Handler - Production. \n\nCore hours for this role are 6:00am - 2:30pm.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n***Please note: This site will be moving to our new location in Youngsville, NC in the summer of 2026, which is approximately 25 minutes from our current site.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Material Handler will provide manufacturing expertise and support including but not limited to, planning, verifying, storing, organizing, and allocating materials. \nMaking what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. \n\n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 You will exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position. You will ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton\u2019s quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process and perform quality checks as instructed. \n\u2022 You will operate and read hand-held RF units to find, move and allocate material \n\u2022 You will move needed material based on production plan and material requests \n\u2022 You will kit parts and components; distribute to production lines with accuracy and maintain integrity of configured kits. \n\u2022 You will maintain adequate inventory levels to meet the orders from our customers through daily monitoring of inventory; also perform cycle counts and maintain inventory system as required \n\u2022 You will load and unload trucks and inspect material for damage \n\u2022 You will report irregularities or equipment malfunctions \n\u2022 You will drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as necessary\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Minimum of 6 months experience operating material handling equipment. \n\u2022 High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution \n\u2022 The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship is required \n\u2022 No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within Knightdale, NC area in order to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Good communication and interpersonal skills \n\u2022 Experience using SAP, warehouse management system \n\u2022 Basic understanding of Microsoft applications (Office, Sharepoint)\n\n## Additional Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Ability to use good judgment when handling material with a safety focus \n\u2022 Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed \n\u2022 Ability to lift 50 lbs. \n\u2022 Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
