Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler/Kitter (Avery Creek) - WKND Shift. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.\n\nThe core hours are 7am - 7:30pm.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe primary function of the Material Handler/Kitter is to sort, distribute, supply and package materials.\n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Take ownership of storage racks including daily review of Racks, 5S+, Rack Labels, etc \n\u2022 Load and unload steel trucks and/or copper truck as required \n\u2022 Move material throughout the Fabrication as needed including keeping brakes staged with unbent parts, delivering bent parts to the paint line, and delivering completed fabricated components as required to rack locations. \n\u2022 Keep pallet bins full of pallets. \n\u2022 Assist in breaking out steel from Amada skeletons when necessary \n\u2022 Weigh and empty scrap bins and record weight in spreadsheet.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution \n\u2022 No relocation offered. Candidates must reside within 50 - miles of Avery Creek, NC to be considered. Active - Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. \nPreferred Qualifications \n\u2022 1 year forklift experience within the last 3 years \n\u2022 Previous experience as Material Handler \n\u2022 Previous experience with Kanban\n\n## Position Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Able to lift 35 pounds \u2013 waist, shoulder, overhead \n\u2022 Ability to climb ladders \n\u2022 Proven history of safe work habits \n\u2022 Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision \n\u2022 Computer skills \u2013 Microsoft Office, Internet, Excel, etc. \n\u2022 Must be able to work overtime \u2013 weekdays and weekends\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
