Job Description - Material Manager

The Durable Slate Company is looking for a Roofing Materials Manager to join our team.
This position requires a working understanding of inventory control, ordering and preparing materials for outgoing construction and roofing jobs, using inventory software and working within a purchase order system.
Responsibilities:

Ensuring the inventory is up-to-date, stored appropriately and in the proper locations and maintained in an orderly fashion.
Ordering needed materials and keeping materials in stock so they are ready for use.
Maintenance of equipment and tools and ensuring they are in good working order and ready for use.
Tracking material usage, waste, profitability etc.
Planning material usage in relation to scheduled jobs.
Fabricating metal, pulling slate and materials for specific jobs, running materials to job sites (occasionally)

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

A valid driver's license that qualifies for coverage from our insurance (typically 4 points or less) is required.
Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screens.
Must be proficient with computers and inventory control software.
Must be able to bend, stand reach, pull, lift and carry items of various weights (up to 75 lbs.) in the warehouse.
Loading material off and on trucks as needed.
A minimum of 1 year experience with managing inventory systems.

Additional Plus Factors:

Familiarity with the Foundation or other inventory control software
Ability to fabricate metal and copper
Experience operating power tools and equipment
Forklift certification/experience

WE OFFER:

STARTING PAY RATE OF $22-30/hr. based on experience.
Over Time
