Job Description - Material Specialist

Position Overview:
The Material Specialist will help in leading and be an active participant in the current warehouse reorganization project. The Material Specialist will also be responsible for Sales orders and priority production inventory needs.

Job Duties:

Complete pick face organization: Create logical pick face and address quantities; maximize storage by consolidating and moving component categories.
Remove old inventory locations, as well as consolidate and move inventory, both physically and systematically.
Correct and maintain PN labels on shelves
Establish best practices for special orders, put away processes, and zoning
Consolidate overstock to pick vertical
Other duties as assigned within the material control group, including:
- Accurately pick large quantity of parts for production shop orders
- Perform and verify a cycle counts when necessary to provide accurate inventory totals
- Operate forklift to pull large palletized boxes from high locations
- Return stock to warehouse, assist receiving department, and general warehouse functions
Print and prep weekly Canada Shipment
Run various reports as needed (cycle count, Incentive data)
Create and maintain Kanban Circuits
Manage VMI wire stock
Receive and process all dropships (Including dropships from Canada to US customers)

Manage Scrap pickups and Propane
Ability and willingness to complete other duties as assigned.
This role involves cross-training opportunities in other departments to enhance skills and support team needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

HS diploma/GED
Previous experience in warehouse or shipping, and experience with job duties listed above
Strong computer skills, including ERP systems
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly throughout a shift.
Must be able to work independently and problem solve stock issues when necessary
