Handle data entry recording and processing of Transportation, Receiving and Storage (TRS) Billing, including stock room, courier, moving, Chauffer, storage and all TRS related Storage Contracts. Data entry recording and processing of TRS Monthly Journals, including stock room, courier, moving, Chauffer, storage and all TRS related Scheduling of Courier work, including scheduled and on call. Processing daily packing supplies: Ordering, inventory and distribution. Receiving/Processing of incoming packages; Information input of daily logs.
Oversee and coordinate activities associated with the University’s storage equipment operations. This includes the scheduling of deliveries and pick ups, and the disposal of equipment; Respond to questions from staff regarding storage and availability of equipment; Accompany clients to retrieve/return items from warehouses; Complete inbound/outbound storage inventories; Maintain storage area and on an as needed basis, provide specialized information concerning shipping and receiving activities that occur within TRS; Independently process and deliver all packages which includes the special processing; Research and process manually, shipments that lack little or erroneous information; Research and resolve all problems associated with shipping and receiving matters; Stage all processed receipts for pick-up by department’s personnel. Operate forklift to load and unload. Fill in for other positions within TR&S.
1. Provides specialized information on administrative, academic, financial aid, and procedural matters to students, prospective students, faculty, and staff. 2. Assists staff, faculty and students with the completion of forms. Identifies and resolves errors through contact with students and University departments. Maintains logs and records of activities. 3. Compiles statistical data and information. Establishes and maintains filing systems. 4. Uses computer terminal to input and retrieve data. Merges and manipulates filing systems. Monitors and reconciles financial data. 5. Keyboards letters, memoranda and other materials. Composes general written material. 6. Schedules and coordinates conferences, meetings, appointments, and classrooms. 7. May oversee and instruct support staff. 8. Performs clerical functions incidental to office activities.
Required Skills and Abilities
1.Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multi-task while working in a team environment. Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and follow schedules.
2.Excellent customer service skills and the ability to greet and provide assistance to customers including Faculty, Staff and Students. Excellent attendance record.
3.Possess and maintain a valid Connecticut drivers license with a safe driving record.
4.Demonstrated computer knowledge, ability to work in a database to track/retrieve information.
5. Demonstrated experience with shipping/receiving equipment, including electric pallet, jacks, fork lifts, etc.
