MATERIALS ATTENDANT/INVENTORY CONTROL - ASSEMBLY

We have an opportunity for a Materials Attendant/Inventory Control person in our Assembly area on 1st shift. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Receives, identifies, inspects, counts / weighs, labels, and assigns locations for all incoming materials and supplies for the Assembly department. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives incoming goods, checking shipments for completeness, obvious freight damage, and other discrepancies.
• Verifies packing slip against purchase order.
• Posts all receipts, issues and adjusts in the system as needed.
• Pulls and stages materials or supplies using travelers or dispatch reports. Issues materials on the system.
• Maintains inventory of materials
• Responsible for the condition of materials placed in stock.
• Conduct routine cycle counts of inventory.
• Assists in all periodic inventories.
• Transports material to work centers if required.
• Loads and unloads trucks with forklift, power jack, or overhead crane.
• Assigns bin locations to materials placed into stock.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Minimum of 1- 3 year industrial warehouse environment.
