Career Overview and Key Responsibilities
The Materials Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Company’s procurement function by ensuring that all materials, equipment, and property are accurately received, tracked, issued, deployed, and disposed of in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and ensure timely availability of resources for operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Material Management:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and equipment against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
Track and monitor material usage, transfers, and returns to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Issuance and Deployment:
Coordinate timely issuance and deployment of materials and equipment to internal departments or project sites.
Ensure compliance with Company standards for material allocation and usage.
Disposal and Asset Control:
Manage the disposal or return of obsolete or surplus materials in accordance with Company guidelines.
Assist in maintaining accurate asset records for property and equipment.
Procurement Support:
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Senior Procurement Manager in executing procurement strategies and processes.
Assist with vendor coordination, documentation, and reporting as required.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure adherence to Company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements related to material handling and procurement.
Prepare and maintain reports on material status, inventory levels, and related activities.
Education, Training, Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
Proficiency in ERP, inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordination across departments and vendors.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in materials coordination, inventory management, or procurement support.
Availability and Travel Requirements
Position requires 8:00 am to 5:00 pm availability.
Minimal travel required.
Must be able to provide proof of valid driver’s license and insurance.
Driving a company vehicle may be required: must have a current, state issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Location
Spokane WA is preferred. Other locations in Washington state may be considered.
Must be a resident of Washington.
Compensation/Benefits
$49,000-$72,000. Non-exempt. Pay rate is based on experience
