Job Description - Materials Handler

Rate:

$18.00 Per Hour

Position Summary: We are looking for a Materials Handler (Warehouse) to start ASAP. You will be cross-trained in multiple facets of the production process and will be expected to train others working in a collaborative environment while meeting production goals and adhering to strict quality standards.

Responsibilities Include:

Order Fulfillment:

  • Process orders promptly and accurately.
  • Pick, pack, and ship products efficiently.
  • Collaborating with a team helps to ensure orders are picked up on time.

Inventory Management:

  • Support inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and collaborate with the team to update the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with other departments.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect incoming and outgoing products for defects.
  • Ensure items meet quality standards before loading them onto the truck.
  • Document any discrepancies and collaborate with the team lead.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with team members to optimize warehouse processes.
  • Communicate effectively with the assistant manager and team leaders.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Practice safe working principles.
  • Active participation in continuous improvement.

Other:

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Verbal communication skills to facilitate effective and efficient work production throughput.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment – self-starter, driven, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Energetic and motivated.
  • A desire to learn and grow.
  • Calm and productive in the face of pressure.
  • Overtime will be required during peak production seasons.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to kneel, squat, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to climb OSHA-approved rolling ladders.

Gear Up Sports provides the following employee benefits:
