The Materials Handler is a warehouse and production support role responsible for the efficient movement, documentation, and organization of inventory. This position serves as a lead interface between production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure materials flow seamlessly to support manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate inventory flow by receiving, auditing, and physically moving raw materials and finished goods between production, storage, and shipping areas.
Manage systematic transactions using inventory software (e.g., Oracle) to ensure real-time accuracy of material cycle times and inventory levels.
Maintain inventory integrity by performing daily cycle counts, auditing manufactured goods, and resolving receipt discrepancies with work cells.
Execute shipping and receiving by loading/unloading trucks and preparing materials through professional packaging, crating, and documentation.
Expedite critical parts to work centers to prevent production delays and ensure Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) goals are met.
Support process improvements within the workspace by identifying inefficiencies and helping implement solutions to increase team productivity.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in a warehouse, factory, or manufacturing environment.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with inventory management software (ERP).
Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), and work comfortably in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze data and report problems clearly.
Equipment Certification: Proficiency or certification in operating heavy machinery such as forklifts preferred.
Adaptability: Ability to work under tight deadlines and learn new technical skills as production needs evolve.

The expected annual salary range for this position $21/hour to $29/hour.
