We continuously seek the best talent around the world, and, at this moment, we have an opening in the following position: Materials Handler located in Big Spring, TX.



Position Summary:  




The position of materials handler is an important one because that person is responsible for the organization of all of the tools, equipment, and materials that are  for the maintenance and repair of wind turbine gearboxes and mainshafts. 


I. Duties: 




  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.

  • Maintain an organized inventory of materials, tools, and equipment using digital tracking systems.

  • Move materials within the workshop safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

  • Collaborate with team members to distribute materials to workstations as needed.

  • Conduct routine quality checks on received materials to ensure they meet specifications.

  • Report any discrepancies or defects in materials promptly.

  • Complete and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and any material movements.

  • Generate reports on material usage, shortages, and inventory levels.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials and operating equipment.

  • Participate in regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety within the workshop.

  • Work closely with other workshop staff, including technicians, engineers, and supervisors, to ensure a smooth flow of materials.

  • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding material orders and deliveries.

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on material handling equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team.

  • Keep work areas clean and organized to facilitate efficient operations.

  • Address any issues related to material shortages, damages, or discrepancies in a proactive and timely manner.

  • Collaborate with the corporate logistics team to resolve any supply chain challenges. 



II. Technical and Administrative Skills:



  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and workplace safety procedures.

  • Experience in materials management, logistics, and inventory control.

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar inventory systems, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Basic knowledge of industrial maintenance, workshop operations, and the wind energy industry.

IV. Requirements:











  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the following:

    • Warehouse operations and materials management.

    • Wind energy or a related industrial environment.



  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the following:

    • Workshop operations.

    • Logistics, inventory control, and material handling.










Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Bachelor’s or Technical certifications preferred.


Required Diploma: Yes


Languages: Fluent in English 


Travel availability: Yes


License to drive: No
