Job Description - Materials Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Materials Supervisor is accountable for the complete ownership of Monster Transmission’s warehouse, picking, receiving, and inventory data integrity. This role ensures that all material movement—from dock to shelf to production to outbound shipment—is executed accurately, efficiently, and consistently within the ERP system.

This position is hands-on and operational, combining daily supervision of warehouse staff with direct responsibility for inventory accuracy, system transactions, and process discipline. The Supervisor serves as the single point of accountability for warehouse execution and ERP data related to inventory, ensuring that physical inventory and system records are always aligned.

Success in this role requires strong leadership on the floor, deep understanding of inventory control principles, disciplined ERP usage, and the ability to identify and correct breakdowns in process before they impact production, customers, or financial results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own and oversee all warehouse, picking, and receiving operations, ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials from inbound receipt through outbound shipment.
  • Pick, pack and deliver orders while maintaining or reducing costs through proper inventory and labor management.
  • Tracking KPI’s, including but not limited to: Team safety, quality, productivity. As well as department spend.
  • Maintaining relationships with internal customer, reviewing performance to ensure we are always improving.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for inventory accuracy, ensuring physical inventory aligns with ERP records at all times.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions—including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments—are correctly and consistently executed in the ERP system.
  • Assist Shipping as needed with routing on carrier/freight provider portals both online and through ERP.
  • Lead cycle count programs, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring discrepancies.
  • Supervise, schedule, and coach warehouse team members to meet productivity, accuracy, and safety expectations.
  • Train employees in warehouse procedures, inventory handling standards, and proper ERP usage.
  • Ensuring the flow of product from point of receipt to point of shipment has the proper transactions completed and able to show results for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Lead and implement 5S and ensure daily adherence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Production, Purchasing, and Sales to support production flow and order fulfillment.
  • Monitor warehouse and inventory performance metrics, identifying risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce errors, improve efficiency, and strengthen operational reliability.
  • Must be able and willing to be certified on Forklifts and power equipment.
  • Other duties assigned by your supervisor.
