Summary You will serve as a MATERIALS SUPPORT LEADER in the Project Support Division of the Supply Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will develop storage plans for items and for storage areas to accommodate materials dependent on security, storage requirements, and spaces available. You will work with production and supply personnel to quickly resolve technical deficiencies or other issues. You will verify the quantities and types of material received, examining materials to ensure that appropriate identification and other information (e.g., Material Safety Data Sheets, Certification of Compliance for vendor material) is attached. You will verify part numbers, national stock numbers, quantities, and other pertinent material identification information. You will verify deficient material screening and reporting of Deficient Material Summary (DMS) and Quality Deficient Material (QDM). You will load and unload material from trucks, trailers or other conveyances, and move material throughout warehouse areas. You will operate a wide variety of material handling equipment not limited to, pallet jacks, forklifts, light trucks to transport material, and may instruct or supervise lower graded Material Handlers/Material Expeditors in the proper operation. You will operate vehicles on base for the delivery or pick up of material to the various work sites. You will serve as a work leader and as such, is responsible for ensuring the work assignments of the Branch are carried out by providing technical guidance and direction to employees to include work tasking and follow up. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires exposure to high noise levels. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation. ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
