Maternal Child Technician (CNA)-night shift

Night Shift

The Maternal Child Technician position is responsible for providing patient care and clerical activities, under supervision of the registered nurse, including; assisting with patient activities of daily living, monitoring condition changes, documenting care activities, specimen procurement and handling, and other support services that assist the patient and family in the achievement of physical and emotional support.  The Maternal Child Technician will also assist in cesarean section (c-section) procedures. The tech will work closely with surgeons, nurses and the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment, prepare and manage surgical instruments, and support patient safety throughout the procedure.

EDUCATION: GED or High School Diploma required. 

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) with a recommended renewal date required. Current certification as Nursing Assistant (CNA) from the State of Nebraska required.
