Clinical Director / Medical Director – Wellness & Preventive Health


Role Overview


This is a strategic clinical leadership role within one of Nepal’s established non-invasive wellness organizations. The position goes beyond conventional clinical practice and focuses on integrating medical expertise with preventive healthcare, lifestyle transformation, metabolic health, and non-invasive wellness services.


The Clinical Director / Medical Director will serve as the organization’s primary medical and clinical authority, providing leadership in the development of evidence-based protocols, clinical governance, patient safety, quality assurance, and treatment standards.


Working closely with the founding leadership, research and development (R&D) team, and multidisciplinary health professionals, the role will contribute to building a world-class clinical framework that is scientifically sound, scalable, and aligned with the healthcare needs and cultural context of Nepal.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of clinical protocols related to weight management, metabolic health, preventive healthcare, lifestyle medicine, and non-invasive aesthetic services.

  • Serve as the primary medical authority for complex client cases involving obesity, metabolic syndrome, chronic lifestyle-related conditions, and associated comorbidities.

  • Provide clinical guidance for the management of conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, PCOS, hypothyroidism, and other metabolic or lifestyle-related health concerns.

  • Establish and maintain high standards of clinical safety, quality, ethical practice, and treatment effectiveness across all Healthy Home outlets.

  • Develop, review, and monitor clinical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), treatment guidelines, risk-management procedures, and quality assurance systems.

  • Lead the clinical evaluation and integration of emerging non-invasive technologies, treatment methodologies, and wellness innovations sourced from international markets, including Korea, Japan, and India.

  • Collaborate with the R&D team to assess the clinical safety, scientific validity, effectiveness, and suitability of new technologies and services before implementation.

  • Build, lead, train, and mentor a multidisciplinary clinical team, including therapists, diet consultants, and frontline healthcare professionals.

  • Conduct regular clinical audits, performance reviews, training sessions, and quality assessments to ensure consistent service delivery across all locations.

  • Work closely with the teleconsultation and digital health teams to develop scalable clinical workflows and support the effective implementation of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

  • Provide strategic clinical input for the development and expansion of preventive health, wellness, metabolic health, and non-invasive aesthetic services.

  • Support Healthy Home’s long-term vision of becoming Nepal’s most trusted and comprehensive holistic health and aesthetic ecosystem.


Required Qualifications and ExperienceEssential Requirements



  • MBBS with an MD in Internal Medicine from a recognized institution.

  • Valid registration with the Nepal Medical Council (NMC).

  • Minimum of 5 years of post-MD clinical experience.

  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in metabolic syndrome, obesity management, chronic lifestyle-related diseases, and preventive healthcare.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, PCOS, hypothyroidism, and other metabolic health conditions.

  • Proven experience in developing clinical SOPs, treatment protocols, clinical guidelines, or quality assurance frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of preventive healthcare, lifestyle modification, and evidence-based approaches to long-term health management.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, communication, mentoring, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

  • Strong commitment to patient safety, ethical clinical practice, and continuous quality improvement.


Preferred Qualifications and Experience



  • Fellowship, certification, or advanced training in Obesity Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, Metabolic Health, or a related field.

  • ABOM certification or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification will be an advantage.

  • Experience or exposure to non-invasive aesthetic and wellness medicine, including body contouring, skin treatments, and non-surgical interventions.

  • Familiarity with teleconsultation platforms, digital healthcare systems, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

  • Research publications, clinical research experience, or collaboration with academic or healthcare institutions.

  • Previous experience working in a wellness, preventive healthcare, aesthetic medicine, lifestyle medicine, or integrated health organization.

  • Experience in evaluating and implementing new clinical technologies, wellness devices, or evidence-based treatment methodologies.
