We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Life Enrichment Coordinator (Activities Director) to join our new and upcoming Memory Care Neighborhood in Port Charlotte. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging and meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the needs and interests of residents in the Memory Care Neighborhood.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation and social interaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure activities align with residents' care plans and personal preferences.
- Organize and lead group and individual activities, including arts and crafts, music therapy, and physical exercises.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to continuously improve the activities program.
- Train and supervise volunteers and staff involved in activity planning and execution.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with memory care needs or in a senior living environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging and adaptive activities for diverse resident populations.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in enhancing the lives of seniors.
