Carillon Senior Living is recruiting a hospitality-focused MDS Coordinator to join our team!

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the MDS Coordinator:

The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, maintenance, and timely completion of the MDS, care plans, and medical records for residents.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Coordinates conducts, and completes the MDS, resident care plans, and conferences on the computerized system.
* Assures accuracy and completeness of the entire medical record.
* Assures and monitors that MDSs are completed within HCFA and Medicare guidelines.
* Ensures MDS electronic submission occurs per State regulations.
* Participates in family/resident care plan conferences.
* Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.
* Serves as a staff nurse when staffing levels necessitate in order to meet the needs of the residents.
* Assures timeliness of physicians' visits.
* Notifies physician and family of changes in resident's condition.
* Encourages rehabilitative techniques in order to restore residents' independence.
* Assists DON in developing and implementing medical records policies and procedures.
* Audits Resident Charts as assigned.
* Coordinates the Restorative Program.
* Takes On-Call as scheduled for RN Supervisor and Staffing Coordinator.
* Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
* Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

* Minimum LPN/LVN degree in Nursing required.
* Minimum on (1) year experience in Nursing experience in assisted living, memory care preferred.
