Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Intake Specialist (Part-time position; remote position)

Review case intakes to determine recommendation for intervention and services with the MDT. Progress, categorize, and document cases to receive coordination from the MDT Coordinator or Team Relations Supervisor. Perform data entry and administrative tasks to support MDT Coordination.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

Read DFPS Intake Reports and law enforcement offense reports within specific timeframes to evaluate reports that meet case criteria per MDT Protocols.
Make recommendation to MDT when a case meets MDT Protocols.
Linking cases as needed
Input police reports and new cases to database as needed.
Ensure thorough data entry through entering DFPS, law enforcement and prosecution disposition data.
Perform data entry and administrative tasks to support MDT Coordination.
Other job duties as requested by immediate supervisor or relevant Alliance For Children staff and partners.
Minimum Requirements

High School diploma required, some college or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two years’ related work experience; including working with families at risk preferred.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Strong reading and evaluative skills required.
Ability to be organized and detail oriented.
Ability to evaluate case information.
Sensitivity to and awareness of unique needs of minority cultures and diverse ethnic groups.
Must clear criminal and civil background checks.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of Alliance For Children.

Physical Requirements:

Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, kneel and twist on an intermittent and sometimes continuous basis. Able to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers and reach overhead. Able to operate a telephone. Able to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually office supply boxes). Moderate independent travel by private auto required.
