Reports To: Field Technician Manager or Field Technician Supervisor

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Measure Technician plays a vital role in the countertop fabrication and installation process by creating precise digital templates for countertops. This is a process-oriented position that requires attention to detail and adherence to established procedures. The Measure Technician must be customer-focused and contribute to the success of Classic Rock Fabrication by ensuring accuracy in templating and exceptional service.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a detailed mileage log and promptly report any vehicle concerns to the Field Technician Manager/Supervisor.
  • Notify clients one hour before the scheduled appointment and ensure punctual arrival.
  • Operate digital templating equipment and use standard tape measures to confirm accuracy.
  • Build a strong rapport with customers, representing the service-driven image of Classic Rock.
  • Ensure the job site is left in the same or better condition than it was found.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols at all times.
  • Manage and track equipment and supplies to prevent loss or damage.
  • Deliver a superior customer service experience throughout the templating process.
  • Collaborate on evaluating installation plans and make necessary adjustments to materials as requested by customers.
  • Upload scans, photographs, and other data to the Company server daily.
  • Effectively communicate job details to customers, Partner Support Specialists, and Programmers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to two years of relevant experience preferred, ideally in a field related to measurement or construction.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Capable of writing clear correspondence and communicating effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Fluent English required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Strong understanding of measurement units and conversions.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to interpret and follow written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • A valid driver’s license is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position involves regular physical activities, including but not limited to:

  • Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and handling.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds safely.
  • As this is a safety-sensitive position, adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor assignments.
  • The environment may involve varied working conditions depending on the job site.
