Cutting Edge is seeking a Measure Technician to serve customers around our Perrysburg, Ohio location.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for obtaining final specifications to enable in-house CAD designers to complete production drawings. Final job specifications are determined by on-site consultations with customers, confirmation of specifications provided by Account Managers and/or Customers, and digital measurement of cabinets and walls. This position is a technical sales position. 

Essential Functions:

· Thorough communication with on-site contact to resolve questions and address concerns to capture the design intent

· Accurately record the customers’ design intent with focus on the customer’s wants and needs.

· Prep the customer for any actions that they may need to complete before the installation day. 

· Measurement of the job site utilizing a laser measuring device and tablet.

· Confirm critical dimensions of walls, cabinets, etc.

· Communicate the confirmed dimensions and design intent to the in-house CAD designers.

· Work at an efficient and effective pace, considering the schedule for that workday.

· Maintain tools daily and communicate broken or defective items.

· Educate customers on additional product and service offerings.

· Drive company vehicle, as needed, safely and courteously, obeying all local, state, and federal traffic laws, while completing scheduled customer visits as timely and efficiently as possible.

· Play an active role in daily quick-start meetings by discussing and suggesting opportunities for improvement.

· Be aware of and sensitive to all project details, collecting final payments before installation, if required.

Qualifications:

· A valid driver’s license is required

· HS Diploma or GED

· 3-5 years of work experience focused on cabinetry, kitchen/bath construction remodeling

· A strong grasp of basic geometry is required; detailed orientation

· Natural ability for dealing with customers

· A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is necessary

· Prior experience in customer service, selling products or services is helpful.

· Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving history, and no criminal record.

Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed in construction job-site settings.

Physical Demands:

· Occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds unassisted.

· Frequent and continuous standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, sitting.
