Measure Technician Required Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in window/door installations, but also willing to teach the right person.

Measure Technician Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of a Window and Door Measure Technician will include measuring, sizing and assembling applicable material sheets related to window and door installation projects.  Other responsibilities included in the role and the desired skills and attributes are listed below:

• Reviewing new sales contracts for accuracy


• Provide accurate measurements & detailed info. at jobsite measure


• Verify accuracy of all measurements for processing to our purchasing dept


• Provide detailed materials takeoff sheets for each job to be installed


• Provide written communication documented for installers to follow on each installation


• Adhere to our production schedule


• Job site inspections when required


• Training new employees in the field when needed


• Assist Installation/Service department on daily activities, only filling in when requested by your manager


• Attend bi-weekly one hour install/service meetings (Wednesdays at 7:00 AM)


• Attend quarterly remeasure meetings


• Work load shall be about 20% office and 80% field (this may fluctuate due to demand)


• Work minimum 1 Saturday a month

Measure Technician Compensation

FULL TIME: Hourly salary rate anywhere from $27 to $30 per hour based on experience

Measure Technician Skills and Attributes:

• Understand how to read a tape measure


• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of installation methods for all types of windows and doors is required


• Possess strong organization/communication skills with our Sales team and Production staff


• Must be teachable and patient


• Basic understanding of servicing doors and windows


• Pleasant phone and in-person mannerisms and the ability to interact with all types of personalities


• Strong attention to detail is imperative


• Ability to work independently and with others


• Basic computer skills are required


• Must be a “Team” Player
