Job Summary

The Meat Cutter delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by following the company’s meat merchandising plan and trimming /preparing standard cuts of meat as outlined in the Meat Cutter Resource Manual.

Responsibilities

Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork, and poultry items

Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to Save A Lot procedures

Assist with product ordering

Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures meat quality

Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy

Qualifications

Experience preferred but willing to train a motivated applicant

Must be 18 years of age

Experience using manual pallet jacks and hand tools

Experience with power equipment, including knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and meat cutting power saw

Ability to regularly lift 50lbs
