Job Summary

The Meat Wrapper ensures the store’s meat department operates at the standards set by the company, driving sales and maximizing profitability. The Meat Wrapper delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by following the company’s meat merchandising plan. The meat wrapper is involved is traying, wrapping, and pricing meat packages. An understanding of meat cuts is important

Responsibilities

Packages, wraps, and prices authorized beef, pork, and poultry items according to Save A Lot policies and procedures

Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to Save A Lot procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers

Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures meat quality

Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age

Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment, including but not limited to wrappers, scales, slicers, and cubing machine

Ability to regularly lift 50lbs

Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
