Position: Full-Time

Location: Fort Novosel, Dothan, AL

Travel: To nearby locations or job sites to service vehicles and equipment owned by the company or its clients.

Position Overview: As a Mechanic at Fort Novosel in Dothan, AL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of various vehicles and equipment. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and machinery to ensure they function efficiently and safely.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous Automotive Service Tech Experience (1 year minimum).


• ASE Certification is a PLUS.


• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a similar environment or related industry.


• Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment mechanics, electrical systems, and hydraulics.


• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors effectively.


• physical stamina and strength to handle heavy equipment and perform manual tasks.

Physical Demands: This role involves frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling while inspecting and repairing vehicles and equipment. Mechanics must possess the strength and dexterity to lift heavy parts and tools, often weighing up to 50 pounds, and carry out manual tasks. Additionally, the job requires standing for extended periods during maintenance and repair work. The position may also involve occasional work in confined spaces and at elevated heights. As such, candidates must have adequate physical stamina, coordination, and flexibility to handle the demands of the job and ensure the safe and efficient operation of vehicles and machinery.
