What you’ll do:

We are looking for an automotive mechanic to service Lease Clients that run at America’s Auto Auction Harrisburg.  The mechanic is responsible for diagnosis and repair of all vehicles to ensure that they are up to safety standards and ensure they are all ready for the sale.  Please have basic automotive skills: Light mechanical work such as tires, check fluid levels, oil changes, basic mechanical, batteries, alternators.  Need to be able to work independently and get the job done.

Responsibilities:

• Light mechanical work including change tires, oil changes, replacing filters

• Batteries, alternators, jump start vehicles and other light mechanical work

• Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate mechanic problems

• Brake jobs, front and rear brakes, possible mater cylinder replacements

• Timely communication of issues that may be deemed as detrimental to the success of operations to Management

• Follow safety protocols

• Maintain repair orders

• Other mechanical and technician duties as assigned

Requirements

• Qualifications:

• Education:           High school diploma, basic mechanical knowledge
• 
  
• Skills:                    Should be highly organized, self-motivated, and self-disciplined.  
• Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced environment.  
• Proficiency with shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic equipment.  
• Ability to handle heavy lifting, crawling on the ground, bending repeatedly, stooping, manual dexterity, walking/standing on concrete for long periods of time.  
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.  Ability to operate all types of vehicles.

• Requirements:    Must be at least 18 years of age
•                               Must possess a valid driver’s license
•                No emission or inspection license required for this position.
