We are seeking a skilled mechanic with looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment? NG Companies is searching for a Mechanic to join our team and keep our fleet running smoothly! If you have experience with semis, Hydrovac trucks, trailers and pickup trucks we want to hear from you!

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: none

Summary/Objective: To carry out repairs according to manufacturer's procedures in a safe, responsible, and timely manner

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Available to work overtime and weekends when necessary

Essential Functions: 

• Correctly interpret work orders and technical manuals 
• Correctly troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures 
• Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of repairs
• Complies with all DOT, MSA, and OSHA regulations
• Use instructions to ensure complete service documentation 
• Notifies and/or coordinates additional repairs with the Fleet Manager 
• Train and assist other technicians, as necessary 
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment physical
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in heavy-duty construction, Hydrovac, Vacuum Truck equipment and Fleet repair experience preferred
• Must have an approved MVR to drive a company vehicle - Class A or Class B preferred but not required

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must possess and exhibit a strong safety acumen
• Exceptional organization and time management skills
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated to produce quality work under tight deadlines in a safe and professional manner
• Must be comfortable with computers and have knowledge of computer-based maintenance programs
• Must provide own hand tools
• Willingness to learn and use emerging technology

Work Environment (temperature, noise level, inside/outside):

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and noisy environments

Physical Demands: 

• Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl
• Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Be able to work extended hours and variable shifts
