Mechanic

We are seeking a hands-on and dependable Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs), air compressors, and generators used in oil and gas field operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience working with small horsepower engines and related equipment in field environments.

• Inspect, maintain, and repair small horsepower VRUs, air compressors, and natural gas/diesel-powered generators
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment failures in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues
• Conduct oil changes, replace filters, belts, and worn components
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety and environmental policies
• Collaborate with operations and other maintenance personnel to minimize downtime
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and safe condition

• 2+ years of experience as a mechanic in oil and gas or related field preferred.
• Hands-on experience with VRUs, air compressors, and generators.
• Must live in Carlsbad, Hobbs, Artesia NM to be considered. Housing is not provided.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and follow service procedures
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and controls is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to work independently in remote field locations and in varying weather conditions
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred
