Mechanic

About The Role:
•    The Motor Vehicle Mechanic will perform repair work and maintenance for cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles in the company’s fleet.  

Essential Functions: 
•    Maintain and repair heavy equipment and trucks as well as light duty trucks an equipment
•    Able to pick up 50lbs
•    Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, and stretch for long periods of time while working
•    Some welding and fabrication
•    Walk and work on uneven ground, requiring stable footing
•    Diagnose operational difficulties experienced by several brands and types of equipment
•    Ability to trouble shoot and identify issues and fix them quickly and efficiently
•    Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems

•    Travel to active job sites is required to perform mechanical work.

 Minimum Qualifications: 
•    Prior mechanic experience
•    Inspection license
•    Must be able to use all tools and equipment necessary to perform work assignments
•    Must have own tools

•    Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the job stated above
•    Good verbal and written communication skills
•    Basic mathematics and computer skills
•    Recognize and follow company procedures and policies
•    Ability to operate all products and models of our equipment
•    Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
•    Clean background check
•    CDL preferred but not required

• Valid drivers license  

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and randoms  

• Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate  

• Follow all Company policies and procedures 

Physical demands: 

• Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic 

• Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (Overtime/weekend work will be ) 

• Ability to work in extreme conditions – Temps below freezing and above 100 Degrees F 

• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time 

• Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs.  

• Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
