Mechanic Heavy Duty Diesel Experienced

Solid Waste Industry Company seeking a Diesel/Heavy Duty Equipment Fleet Mechanic.

Requirements:

•          Minimum 7 years’ experience working/repairing commercial vehicles over 33,000 GVW
•          Must bring their own set of tools

Job Description:

•          The general scope of employment shall be to perform inspection, maintenance and repairs on heavy duty vehicles, equipment, small trucks and cars/trailers/pick-ups/landfill & recycling equipment/compactor boxes & portable toilets as well as facility repairs. Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting, steering and cooling systems, current emissions components, SCR, EGR, DEF & DPF components and systems. Keep track of maintenance work on all vehicles and equipment. Ensures services provided are in compliance with safety procedures and including but not limited to performing such duties in accordance therewith the Companies may request.

Benefits:

•          $25.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience
