Mechanic Technician

Mechanic Technician needed for our government client in Cockeysville. The Mechanic Technician will manage the testing, maintenance and training of recycling equipment. Six month contract position with possible extension. The non-negotiable pay rate is $20.50 per hour.

Essential Duties:

• Operates and makes miscellaneous minor repairs and adjustments to single stream system components.
  
• Maintains, lubricates, and adjusts machinery and equipment.
  
• Replaces units or parts, such as gears, bearings and filters.
  
• Tests newly installed and pre-existing mechanical equipment.
  
• Assists with major or complex maintenance, repair, and installation projects.
  
• Prepares and keeps records of work performed and materials and equipment used or needed.
  
• Keep records of repairs and inventory.

Qualifications:

• At least two years' experience in maintenance and testing work related to single stream system operation is required.
  
• Must have a valid Maryland Driver's License, good driving record and own vehicle.

• Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and technical methods of mechanical maintenance is required.
  
• Ability to read simple plans and sketches is required.
  
• Must be able to work 3:00 pm-11:00 pm Monday through Friday with a 30 minute non paid lunch.
  
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
