Mechanic (Truck, Small Engine, Fabricator)

Mechanic-
Duties:

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and equipment


• Implements and monitors a preventative maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance


• Implements a scheduled maintenance program to provide maintenance by manufacturers specifications


• Maintains a complete inventory of each vehicle, maintenance equipment, gasoline, repair parts, supplies


• Implements and maintains a mechanic training and certification program to provide needed technical skills for mechanics in repair of equipment


• Welds; replaces parts; repairs parts; repairs electrical systems; troubleshoots problems when needed


• Checks all repair work performed in shop for completeness.   This includes physical inspections and road tests before vehicle is turned back to user departments

Requirements:

• 2 + years mechanical and technical experience


• Experience working with all kinds of equipment and vehicles


• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record


• Must own tools


• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment


• High School/GED required

Small Engine Mechanic-
Duties:

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines


• Maintains a complete inventory of equipment, gasoline, repair parts and supplies


• Welds, replaces parts, repairs parts, repairs electrical systems, troubleshoots problems when needed


• Drives to worksite where equipment needs to be repaired

Requirements:

• 1 + years small engine repair experience preferred


• Experience working with all kinds of equipment 


• Valid driver’s license


• Must own tools


• High School/GED preferred
