CED strives to pay a competitive wage in the industry and regional market. The pay range for this position is ($20-23) for entry level. The benefit includes eligibility to participate in 1 of 3 different BCBS of IL medical plans, Dental (SunLife) Vision (EyeMed), Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k) with a generous 6% match on a 6% contribution, 11 Paid Holidays, 5 paid Sick Days (based on a full year of employment). Job Title–Mechanical Assembler

To assemble complex units with a number of detailed lightweight parts, following detailed standardized methods. Make intricate fits, involving the use of hand and power tools, and make adjustments or alignment of parts for free working.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Ability to use basic hand tools in order to build and troubleshoot assemblies.

2. Ability to follow complex work instructions, procedures, and drawings.

3. Effective English oral and written communication.

Basic Requirements: 

1.  Function effectively in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment. 

2. Excellent fine motor skills to work with very small devices, microscopes, and tools3. Attention to detail when measuring components.
