ESTIMATED PAY RANGE
$75,000-$87,000 annually, DOE

JOB SUMMARY

As a Mechanical Designer and Drafter in Plymouth, MN, you may: design complex machinery and assemblies including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and gearboxes; contribute to engineering design through conceptualization and calculations; participate in design reviews with cross-collaborative teams including purchasing, electrical systems, and project engineering; develop and supervise test procedures, including troubleshooting and documentation; drive continuous improvement to ensure alignment and issue resolution, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering required


• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks required


• Experience with Ansys, MathCAD, Solidworks Simulation, or analysis software


• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment 


• Knowledge in motors, actuators, gearing, and hydraulics preferred


• Exposure to mechanical equipment/systems and/or a general aptitude for hands-on work a plus
