What you will be doing: - Working in CATIA V5/V6 to design and model fixturing used for holding vehicle parts during processes such as weld, paint, assembly, and test.
- Understanding body part construction, datums, and weld information to incorporate into fixture design
- Perform layout checks with all users involved to confirm fixtures meet all requirements
- Export 3D/2D data and outsource to a supplier for quotes and ordering
- Research ways fixturing or processes can be improved
- Support any other request for fixturing, test equipment, or prototyping needs in the company
- Support development groups
- Design by creating data for evaluation models and Aerodynamic teams by designing wind tunnel test models
What you'll need to be successful: - BS degree in science / engineering preferred or equivalent
- Minimum Experience: 3 years in related design work experience
- Advanced CATIA V5/V6 operation
- High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, knowledge of vehicle construction/assembly, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Basic electrical and mechanical skills, Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Teams, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word)
