Mechanical Engineer

Exowatt is a next generation renewable energy company offering commercial and industrial customers a modular full-stack energy solution that can provide dispatchable power and heat for up to 24 hours per day, specifically designed to meet the needs of energy-intensive applications such as data centers. We are hiring an experienced mechanical engineer to own end to end product development for Exowatt products. You will work alongside a small team of mechanical engineers, thermal engineers, optics engineers, and product owners to successfully bring our product to market. 

What You'll Do:

- Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision.

- Own hardware design from research to concept generation to product launch.

- Build prototypes, test features, analyze failures in order to maximize outputs - continuously optimizing in order to never leave energy on the table.

- Create excellent technical documentation - slide decks, testing plans and reports, procedures, assembly, vendor specifications, and statements of work, etc.

- Assist in recruiting and interviewing efforts to help build our amazing team. 

What You Have:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of relevant work experience.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.

- Proficiency with mechanical CAD.

- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and optimization.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
