We are a manufacturer of industrial-quality fluid surge and pulsation control vessels located in San Dimas, California.
We are currently recruiting for a self-motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team.
POSITION SUMMARY
A self- starter with strong ability to define priorities who can organize, plan, direct and coordinate activities of multiple, complex projects simultaneously to ensure that the objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame, funding parameters and to quality requirements.
Duties
·Develop mechanical system design solutions based on engineering principles and be involved in presentation of the solution to customer.
· Provide technical support to external customers.
· Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.
· Responsible for project success whether project leader or as part of a project team.
· Support sales team in pre-sales technical concept and budgeting activities.
· Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and in budget.
·Prepares engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends; entering data and generating reports and presentations; performing calculations.
·This position requires a hands on approach when inspecting parts to assure all manufactured product are made to specifications. Attention must be paid to quality control requirements; such as, segregation of materials, proper markings and transferring of MTR's and throughput documentation. Strong mechanical skills required to assemble and test product to specific procedures needed ensuring the highest quality and consistency.
Skills/Qualifications:
B.S – Mechanical Engineering, 5-7 years of experience,
- U.S. Citizen
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial manufacturing environment required
- Strong mechanical skills experienced with hand and power tools
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments i.e. micrometer, dial calipers a must
- Attention to detail an absolute requirement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
