You will add the most value at DSI if you continually demonstrate the following Work Habits:
Consult – Identify value added solutions resulting in greater client satisfaction and increased revenue. Be personally involved in the client’s activities and decisions. Mentor others.
Communicate – Influence others to adopt a course of action. Obtain a common understanding of a problem, gain commitment and resolves issues. Manage communication flow internally and externally.
Solve Problems – Create multiple innovative solutions using a collaborative approach. Analyze, select and implement the optimal solution. Apply previous lessons learned.
Plan – Determine and list in detail what project and non-project work you want to accomplish each month, each week and each day.
Get the Details – Coach others to ensure quality on every project. Look for ways to improve and promote quality throughout the company.
Be Efficient – Delegate tasks and assignments with a focus on applying resources to meet, and often exceed, productivity and quality standards. Keep a long-term perspective by finding opportunities to increase future efficiency, in addition to meeting short-term goals.
Learn Continuously – Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills in self and others. Create opportunities to regularly teach others (experiences, whitepapers, lunch & learns, etc.). Ask the “Why” questions.
Show Initiative – Demonstrate a motivation to excel, take independent actions and calculated risks based on your knowledge and understanding of our vision, values and strategy. Focus on Proactive efforts over Reactive efforts.
Lead Others – Inspire and motivate others while focusing on larger priorities. Coach team members and provide guidance to achieve long-term results.
Think Critically — Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Make Decisions — Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one based on your knowledge of our vision, values and strategy.
Demonstrate Grit – Do what is needed to get the job done.
Work with Others – Create teams, set the direction and serve as an advisor while fostering commitment, collaboration and accountability. Use delegation as a development tool.
